About Bront

My name is Tim Bruns, and I play paintball.

My first paintball experience was in the summer of '96. I went with my dorm to some indoor place in Indiana. It was a lot of fun, though it was spoiled when I was hit in the head almost 15 times, over half of which were after I got up after calling myself out. I was a bit dizzy for the rest of the day, and had a stiff neck for a day, but no other injury.

About three years later, I went with my church and played. I had a lot of fun in that group. However, we never played again and I didn't have much money so I was unable to really get into the sport at that time.

In May 2002, some co-workers organized an unofficial paintball outing. I had a blast this time, and got to see lots of people with their own markers for the first time. I played all day, and got hit a few times (Usually I called myself out with no ball break). I think I eliminated 1-2 people, but I enjoyed the teamwork we had. I knew then that I wanted to get into paintball more. It's good exercise gets me outside, and helps build friendships with team mates.

Now I've got my own marker, I help moderate a paintball forum (paintball.com), and I've gathered a lot of useful paintball information. Hopefully I can share some of that information here.
